BAPTISM

What is baptism?

Baptism is a special occasion in the life of every believer. It is the moment when a believer publicly declares their faith through a deeply symbolic act. As the person goes under the water, it symbolises dying to the old life without Christ; As the person comes up out of the water it symbolises the beginning of a new life with Christ, washed clean of our sin. This new life and forgiveness of sin has already happened the moment the person received Christ, so baptism is often referred to as 'an outward sign of an inward grace'.

As a church we only baptise those who have put their faith in Jesus and now desire to follow Him. And we usually only baptise by full immersion.
