Previously, Garryl talked about worship in heaven. Today he looks at what worship should look like for Christians and explains why it is so important to have the right attitude. He also suggests some practical helps to get us into a worshipful mindset.
A refreshing, a reminder and an awakening to everyone of the reality of who God is. Garryl uses Revelation 4 & 5 to show what worship in heaven is like. Our God who reveals, responds and rescues; our only proper response is to worship Him and that should be our desire, longing and joy.
Have you been hurt or find it difficult to relate to others in the church? How can you discover your spiritual gifts? These questions are answered as Damian continues the theme of Life Groups. Using 1 Thessalonians 2: 1-12 as the key text, we can see what a difference being part of a smaller group can make to our walk with God.
The early church met in the temple courts (for corporate worship) and house-to-house (for fellowship). Damian encourages everyone to be more than a church attender; instead, ‘know and be known’ by joining a Life Group.
Continuing the summer series on emotions Faye asks – Is anger biblical? Also, how should we handle anger? James 1: 19-21 gives some good advice in dealing with our battle with anger.
Damian concludes the series which has been focussed on the book of Hebrews. If you would like to see the short animation used to summarise the content of the earlier chapters it can be found at https://thebibleproject.com/explore/hebrews/
What is the most important thing in life? Do we have the right attitude? Sue Arnold continues the tour through the book of Hebrews and shows that there is one thing that is worth everything……
How do you feel about discipline? What’s the difference between punishment and discipline? Adam uses Hebrews 12: 5-10 as his text to unpick the truth from wrong thinking to show us what discipline really means.
Hebrews 11 lists many of the heroes of the Old Testament. They all had faith. They also had difficulties and trials; they were tested, persecuted and knew suffering. However, they persevered and stayed strong in their faith. Faith makes a difference and we too can learn from their example.
