Damian gives some background to the book of 1 Corinthians by looking at the description of Paul’s time in Corinth recorded in Acts 18. Understanding the type of city the Corinthian Christians lived in provides the context for what Paul says in his letter to the Corinthian church.
Pastor Damian recounts the passage in Luke 24:46-49 when Jesus first appears to the disciples in His resurrected body. He gave them their first mission – to wait for the arrival of the Holy Spirit. Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to allow our lives to be guided, and used, by the Spirit for the outwork of God’s will in our everyday lives.
