Life Groups – Be a Big Part of a Small Group

The early church met in the temple courts (for corporate worship) and house-to-house (for fellowship). Damian encourages everyone to be more than a church attender; instead, ‘know and be known’ by joining a Life Group.

Jesus is Better – Living it out

Damian concludes the series which has been focussed on the book of Hebrews. If you would like to see the short animation used to summarise the content of the earlier chapters it can be found at https://thebibleproject.com/explore/hebrews/

Jesus is Better – ‘The Power of Faith’

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/2018-07-08-Faith.mp3

Hebrews 11 lists many of the heroes of the Old Testament. They all had faith. They also had difficulties and trials; they were tested, persecuted and knew suffering. However, they persevered and stayed strong in their faith. Faith makes a difference and we too can learn from their example.

Jesus is Better – ‘A Better High Priest’

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/2018-06-24-Hebrews-5-6-7-Melchizedek.mp3

In Hebrews chapters 5, 6 and 7 Melchizedek is mentioned 7 times. Who was he? What is there a significant link to Jesus? Damian explains this and much more………

Better than Moses

Continuing with the study of the message in the book of Hebrews, Damian picks up in chapter 3. The work of Jesus took believers from living under the law and into grace. Whilst we now have confidence to approach the throne through grace, we must be careful to not lose our focus and encourage others too to stay strong in the faith.

Jesus is Better – Overview of Hebrews

Kicking off a new series focussed on the book of Hebrews, Damian gives a taste of what is to come. Like the book itself, this gem of a message is an exhortation to both unbelievers and mature Christians alike to reflect on the magnificence of Jesus and to recognise that He is supreme in every way.

The Gift of Holy Spirit

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/2018-05-20-Gift-of-Holy-Spirit.mp3

Are you thirsty? Do you want more from your Christian life? On Pentecost Sunday, Damian’s message from John 7: 37-39 highlights that Jesus gave the gift of Holy Spirit to the church. We can have fulness of life and experience God’s power as Spirit filled Christians if we are open to receiving the gift given to us.

Getting to Know the Holy Spirit

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Getting-to-Know-the-Holy-Spirit-3.mp3

Kicking off a new short series on the Holy Spirit, Damian uses John 16: 13 & 14 to address the person that is the Holy Spirit. He is intended to be our best friend and if you don’t know this, it is never too late to get to know Him on a deeper level.

Counting the Cost

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/2018-04-15-Counting-The-Cost-.mp3

Quite often in life, what appears to be a great deal may contain hidden costs. Damian’s message unpacks Luke 14: 25-35 – an oft-misunderstood passage. However, he clearly explains that whilst following Jesus can be costly, nothing is hidden but we do have everything to gain.

Easter Sunday – Jesus is Alive!

https://eg72s2n2avc.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/2018-04-01-Easter-Sunday.mp3

What separates Christianity from other religions? The answer is that Christians worship a God who is alive! The sermon focusses on John 20: 1-18 where Mary, Peter and John shockingly discover that the tomb is empty.
