1 Corinthians – ‘Sexual Purity’

The church in Corinth had a problem with sexual immorality, so much so that Paul had to write to them and tell them to put their house in order! Damian preaches from chapters 5 and 6 to emphasise that promiscuity and a lax attitude to sex create bigger problems than we think.

1 Corinthians – “Disunity is Lunacy”

There were factions in the early church in Corinth and the Apostle Paul had strong words for them. Pastor Damian uses the first 4 chapters in 1 Corinthians to outline what Paul was telling the church and draws on this wisdom so that we can encourage unity in our own churches.

1 Corinthians – ‘An Overview’ | Damian Carr

Damian gives some background to the book of 1 Corinthians by looking at the description of Paul’s time in Corinth recorded in Acts 18. Understanding the type of city the Corinthian Christians lived in provides the context for what Paul says in his letter to the Corinthian church.

Reset – My Love For His Mission

Pastor Damian recounts the passage in Luke 24:46-49 when Jesus first appears to the disciples in His resurrected body. He gave them their first mission – to wait for the arrival of the Holy Spirit. Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to allow our lives to be guided, and used, by the Spirit for the outwork of God’s will in our everyday lives.

Reset – Loving Church

Continuing the series Pastor Damian mines the riches of Romans 12:1-21 to elaborate on Paul’s message to the church. Being in the church family is not just about belonging, it is so much more. Today we learn that our God given gifts and talents should be a means to actively participate in church life and to be a blessing to those around us.

Reset – My Love for Jesus

We can see from the bible that Peter was far from perfect but Jesus loved him. He reset his life and built his church on this faithful disciple. Pastor Damian kicks off 2021 with a powerful message on how ordinary folk can lead extraordinary lives if they focus on Jesus.
